A social worker based in Pathein City confirmed that a mentally ill person who had climbed onto the steel piers of Pathein No. 2 Bridge has returned safely to the ground and was rescued based on information from the locals.
“I went up at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. The social support groups called me to give me bread, but they didn’t come back down. People from all over the city came to see the news after hearing the news. Now I have gone back down,” he said.
At around 5:00 pm today, a man with poor mental health who was walking on the iron legs of the bridge came back down on his own without any help.
